About ISBNFetch

ISBNFetch is a web-based ISBN scanner and book cataloging tool. You open it in your browser, point your camera at a book barcode, and in a few seconds you have the full book record — title, author, publisher, description, and more.

The idea came from a simple frustration: cataloging a home library is tedious. Existing tools either required a monthly subscription, a mobile app download, or significant technical knowledge. ISBNFetch was built to fix that — no app, no subscription, and a result in under 3 seconds.

ISBNFetch is built and maintained by Manson Wong, an indie developer based in Hong Kong. The product is designed for individuals first — book collectors, used book resellers, students, and librarians — and built with the belief that the best tools are the ones that get out of the way.

What ISBNFetch returns

For each ISBN lookup, ISBNFetch returns: title, authors, publisher, publication date, page count, language, description, cover image URL, categories, and subjects. Data is sourced from multiple book databases and returned in under 3 seconds.

Pricing philosophy

ISBNFetch uses a credit-based model — no monthly subscription. Buy a block of scans once, use them over 12 months. This works well for people who scan intensively for a weekend project, then don't need the tool again for months.
